此币为铜质机制铸币，钱币正面中心直读“大清铜币”，其中间有“川”字， 即四川省的简称，珠圈外上有满文及“已”、“酉”，下有“当制钱十文”，中 间左右两侧有“度支”、“部”。背面中心雕刻有精致的蟠龙，珠圈外上有“宣统 年造”，外环为英文字样。此币是清代宣统年间四川省所造，制作精良，品相好， 极具收藏价值。

光绪三十年(1904)，仿湖北省铜币式样.将“四川官局造”五字改为“四川省 造”四字。光绪三十一年(1905)七月，清政府通令各省将所铸的“光绪元宝”铜币 .统一改为“大清铜币”，并要在币的中心加铸阴文或阳文的各省汉文简称，四川 省即铸有中心为“川”字的当五、当十、当二十等三种铜元。同年九月，清政府的 户部改名为“度支部”，但各省铜元局所铸的“大清铜币”币面纪铭仍一直用“户 部”字样，唯独四川所铸宣统元年大清铜币的纪铭改为“度支部”。以致四川铜元 成为全国铜元特点之一。 宣统年造已酉度支部大清铜币十文，钱面中央铸有“大 清铜币”四个汉字，内嵌一小字“川”，上端携刻满文“大清铜币”字样，两侧为 年份“已酉”，左右分列“度支部”，下端为“当制钱十文”。钱背中央为蟠龙 ，上端为“宣统年造”，下端为英文“Tai-Ching Ti-KuoCopperCoin”字样(大 清帝国铜币)。流通时间较短。

本文图中此枚大清铜币与平常见到的大清铜币不同之处在于，正面铸有“度支部”，而非“户部”。其实这两个名称都是代表着掌管财政事务的机构，只是在清光绪三十二年，因为改组将户部更名为度支部。相比于“户部”之称，“度支部”存在时间十分短，而宣统帝在位时间更是只有三年，可想而知，此枚宣统年造度支部大清铜币的稀少程度，收藏价值相对其他版别的大清铜币更是无法估量。
