驰名中外的唐三彩，是中国陶瓷史上一枝绚丽夺目的奇葩。其最能体现盛唐气象与大唐文化的雄浑博大，无论造型工艺，还是釉色装饰，都闪烁着封建社会鼎盛时期的艺术光辉。

　　中国古代器物中，使用最为广泛而又差别颇大、造型各异的就属香炉了。在一般人的观念中，香炉似乎只是焚香的器具，于是说到香炉的样式，人们脑海里总会出现宋代哥窑或龙泉窑的双耳炉，再就是明代的铜质宣德炉及其仿制品了。事实上，香炉的种类和用途远不止于此，唐三彩三足炉便是其中较为独特的一种。它造型别致，精美奇巧，极具魅力。

　　最为珍贵的唐三彩三足炉是带有蓝釉的，这是因为唐代蓝釉三彩器往往被称为极品。民间收藏界有一种说法：“三彩挂蓝，价值连连。”
