此组银币是中华民国三年袁大头签字版，银币正面铸大总统袁世凯戎装五分脸侧面像，栩栩如生，眉目传神。右端有意大利雕刻师“L.GIORGI”签名签字版属于样币性质，用来做样品的，所以会标记上工匠的名字，数量自然是非常稀少的。肖像上端环铸有发行年号“中华民国三年”，背面中央铸币值“壹圆”二字，托以嘉禾二本，左右交互，下系结带。
