My pictorial research already builds itself since for a long time around these lines which draw roads in the landscape.

Fascination, sensation of absorption by these tracks, these road markings, which invite in one somewhere else, towards an infinity.

Base lines which leave towards an unknown, a world to be invented, to be discovered, to be imagined. The graphics of these lines which build the contemporary landscape, is as a universe information, vision which is imperative upon me and which pushes me in a constructive fight with the painting.

The painting becomes then a place where the material absorbs us, of a real radicality and the work of which requires to make no concession. In the work takes place a real dialogue with the material, the space of the painting getting organized, between the rigor of the line and the freedom of the material which positions in narrow relation with this one.

These roads are at the same time imprints of the world which builds itself, tracks of history but also call to the movement, by human adventure towards unexplored, unknown parts of the world.
