艺术简介

Pezzot’s new photographic language is questioning photography’s contemporaneity as a possible universal and pure art form and its future role in contemporary art.

His images redefines the inadequacy of the conventional medium in the digital era and the artistic potential of the craft disentangled from its traditional use. Imitating reality, photography’s original goal, from an artistic point of view has been fading in a world of billions images and devices.

The artist’s entire career has been devoted to creating everlasting pictures and to pursuing his need to find new way of expression and a new perception of the medium.

‘Humanistic Reciprocity’ is definitely a spiritual work and experience and it is about the desired human search for spirituality.

The artist addresses themes of art as a possible healer of faraway wounds caused by humans and to counterbalance cosmic energy. He investigates universal drives and conditions that we experience as human beings, believing that pure visual communication can better deliver universal messages. Reciprocity is the mother of peace and the possibility of living in communion with one another.

This body of work is a composite made up of different pictures, paintings, layered photography, marks, scribbles, shades, space and lines. Paintings, lines and pictures merge in all the artworks in a very performative way as a new photographic language. The whole process of this large-scale images starts from analogue photography.

Its narrative structure is presented through a ‘dialogue’ among minds, where words and tangled thoughts are turned into lines and scribbles wandering uselessly in the contradictory human brain.

All the details and symbols have a remarkable narrative significance and contribute to the semantics of each single image. The importance of painting and the power of lines is central to the artworks and evident in their delicate overall balance.

It unquestionably brings in the forefront of contemporary photography without boundaries or constraints.
