阿迈德·扎奇·安瓦尔1955年生于马来西亚新山。扎奇藉其画面中的表演性、戏剧性面具般的隐喻，来探索人心理层面进而到精神层面的关注。似电影场景般的艺术视觉表现特徵外，更成功地堆砌出情境对应心灵的感受。城市美学的精神性藉其画面中象徵性且寓意深厚的符号，彰显其特殊风格，试图以其作品证实生命存在的真实感，同时感受内心的平静。扎奇在于1997年起，在东南亚各国、香港和美国代表性画廊及美术馆办个展，是最早进入亚洲拍卖市场并创2007年香港佳士德世界拍卖纪录的马来西亚当代艺术家。

Ahmad Zakii Anwar born 1955 in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, preoccupation with spiritual or metaphysical aspects of the human being seen through the metaphors of performance, theaters as masks.
