Rose van den Hurk lives and works in Nijmegen, Holland.
In Nijmegen Rose studied at Teacher, Crafts and Textile Arts and followed Creative Therapy towards shaping sculptures, at the University of Nijmegen. At the Art Centre "Elephant" in Nijmegen, Rose became well-skilled at bronze casting.  All her sculptures are unique. In Rose’s studio, she makes sculptures of waxy images of wax, plaster or clay, most of which are then manufactured in bronze.
The curves of a woman's body, the child, the birth and nature in its stunning growth are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for Rose......
