Zhao Hong
?A Brief Introduction.
?Zhao Hong, whose origin is from the Wen Xi county in the Shan Xi province, was born in Tai Yuan. Her father, Mr. Zhao Meisheng, is a well known Chinese flowers and birds painter.
?In 1984, she graduated from the Decoration Department of the Tianjin Arts Institute, and was assigned to work as teacher in the Architecture Department of the Tai Yuan University.
?In 1987 she continued her studies in teaching methods of architectural drawings at the Architecture Institute of the Tsing Hua University.
?In 1990, she was invited to the China Agriculture University to establish the first Art Workshop in that campus. She was soon promoted to several senior positions; one of them becoming the Associate Professor and Dean of the Art Teaching and Research Department.
?From 1996 to 1998, she was also appointed to the Central Committee of the China Communist Party as Guest Professor in the School of Painting and Calligraphy.
?Over the past ten years, she has devoted herself to the teaching of Arts and Creation. Her main contributions are mentioned below.
?In 1982, she designed the cover for the American novel “Freshman”. It was displayed at the 3rd Book Binding Arts Exhibition held by the China Artists Association and China Publishers Union.
?In March 1983, her work “Hometown’s Moon, the Brightest” was chosen as the front cover for Xiao Qing Poetry, published by the Shan Xi People’s Publishing House.
?In 1986, her work “China’s Musical Literature” was chosen as the front cover for the Shan Xi Music and Dance magazine.
?In 1987, her work “Memory of Childhood” was awarded the 2nd prize at the Shan Xi Arts Exhibition.
?In 1992, her painting “Snow Bone, Ice Spirit” was exhibited at the Red Oriental Painting & Calligraphy Show commemorating the 100th anniversary birthday of comrade Mao Zedong. It was then kept by the Management Section of Chairman Mao Memorial Hall Centralized General Office as part of their collection.
?In 1993, her oil painting “Elegant Mind” was shown at the Countryside Plan of 1993 Oil Painting Exhibition held by the China Arts Gallery.
?In 1995, her ink & water painting “Fragrance in Lotus Pond” was awarded the silver Medal at the Chinese Painting Exhibition held by the China Poem, Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute. It was then published in the National Painting and Calligraphy Showpiece Collection.
?In that same year, her painting “Clubs in Snow” was shown at the ceremony to commemorate the establishment of the China Agriculture University and later displayed in the library located in the Western block.
?Her Chinese painting “Blue Clubs” was displayed at the opening ceremony of the Taijiu Highway and was kept as part of their collection.
?In 1997, her painting “Elite” was awarded the prize of excellence at the Painting and Calligraphy Show celebrating the return of Hong Kong to China. It was then selected to be part of the “Masterpiece Album in the celebration of the return of Hong Kong”.
?In that same year, her three works “Positive and Negative”, “Flower Basket on the Chair” and “Elegant Mind” were published in the 3rd issue of the 1997 Arts Gallery of “Shan Xi Pictorial”.
?In 1998, she donated one of her painting to the flood Charity Event held by the Painting & Calligraphy Society.
?In 1999, her Chinese painting “Dragon Verse” had the chance to be shown at the Painting & Calligraphy Tour Show that traveled throughout China, Europe and other Asian Countries.
?In 2000, her painting “All Saints” was kept by the Eastern Library in the Western library of the China Agricultural University as part of their collection.
?In December 2000, her Chinese painting of club “Spring Message” was exhibited at the Photography & Painting Show for China Engineer Pioneers as one of their invited works.
?In 2001, her painting “Oriental Treasure” was shown on the 21st Century Chinese Painting Exhibition in Australia and became part of their permanent collection.
?In 2002, she took part in the creation of “Peace Envoy”, which was a large scale historical masterpiece that contributed to the thirteen honorable senior leaders and generals in China such as the Chairman of the Military Commission, Chi Haotian,and. It was then kept by the affiliated hospital of the Armed Police Medical College as part of their collection.
?In April 2003, she donated her painting “Double Beatitude” to the City of Beijing and the Beijing Zhongshan Art Association as a contribution towards helping nurses & doctors fighting “SARS” in Beijing.
?In 2004,the flower-and-bird painting“Rhyme”and “Ancient Plum Blossom” were all published in the and edition. of ‘Arts-survey in number 101Magazin
?In 2005,painting of mountains-and-waters“Peaceful Mountain”,“the clear Sound of lake ”“Jade green trees”“mountain over cloud”“Wind in trees”“mountain folk stores,”and“the dream of sun and mountain”are published in National Artist’s Friend magazine.
?In that same year,《peaches offered as 100birthday 100birthday》、《pomegranates painting》,for congratulates agriculture university of china of 100birthday.
?In addition, a substantial number of her paintings were published on newspapers and journals. For example, her oil painting “Apple and Knife” was published by the People’s Representative Daily, in its 760th issue on the 17th of September 1997. In 1998, “Heading Towards Brilliance” edited by the China Yan’an Arts Association and her oil painting “Attitude of 1992”, “English Professor” and “Grandmother” were published in the Chinese Wind Publishing House. Her work “Fishing Boat in a Beautiful Scene” was published in the special issue of the New Peasants on the 16th of November 1999. Her oil painting “Grandmother” was published by the China Revolution Paper as well as in the campus newspaper of the China Agricultural University on the 11th of July 2000.
?Several of her paintings have also been bought and kept by people both in China and abroad as part of their private collection.
In 2005,painting of mountains-and-water“ Mountain in peace”,“The clear Sound of lake" ,“Jade green trees”“mountain over clouds”“Wind in trees”“mountain folk stories,”and“the dream of sun and mountain”Were published in National Artist’s Friend magazine.
In this year,"peaches offered as 100th birthday "and "pomegranates painting",were also painted for 100th year of Foundation of CAU of China.
