Born in 1974, Ana González lives and works in Colombia. Her academic background covers architecture, visual arts and editing, and she makes artworks in the media of drawing, painting, photography, video, installation, embroidery and porcelain.

Ana González’s art practice looks into inherited culture, collective memory and narrations of displacement. The handicraft and family traditions are part of her motivation to highlight that feminine and organic part of her history. Her passion for investigating women’s life and perspective from an artistic and scientific point of view has been a recurrent inspiration behind her works.

Ana González’s works are collected by museums in South America and in the U.S.A. and they are in private collections around the world.
