2015年春的某一天，艾东蓦然注意到阳光穿过窗户，从镜子边缘的棱边折射至地毯，形成的七色光带，遂以为是上帝的启示。从此她开始以多彩条带并列划分并形成画面空间。在绘制条带时她坚持只手平涂，让条带保留手绘的自然边缘。

靠水平与垂直，以及看画的人本身，把绘画里天地人最基本的关系概括出来。当艾东尝试面对身边的事物时，她发明了45度的彩虹条并列的方法。100个画有45度彩条的画面并联到一起时，“万物”就跃然而出。

At the beginning of her painting exploration, Ai Dong revealed the unusual sensibility for colors. She chooses colors, brushing them with instinct, to depict nature scenery. Painting and wiping were both employed to complete the paintings, which are expressed mainly by solid colors. Since painting is new to her, soon she reconciled the straight forward brush and pure colors in paintings to get a high degree of harmony and unity.

One day in spring of 2015, Ai Dong suddenly noticed that the daylight slowly creep in through windows, then climbed onto the edge of a mirror, reflected back and landed on the carpet, formed a colorful rainbow. That moment felt just like a sign from God. Since then she started to split and form painting space by paralleled color stripes. In the drawing of the stripes she insisted on hand-painted, so that the stripes retain the hand-painted natural edge.

The horizontal and vertical stripes, as well as the people who look at the painting itself, summarized the most basic relationship between men and universe in the painting. At the time Ai Dong tried to face the things around her, she invented 45-degree-paralleled-rainbow. When 100 paintings with 45-degree colors stripes joined together, “everything” jumps out the way.
