刘明孝(1964—)
四川人。1987年毕业于四川美术学院中国画系，获学士学位。现为四川美术学院副教授、硕士生研究生导师、四川美术学院中国画系第一工作室主任。1989年“四川省美展”、“首届全国工笔山水画展”。1992年加拿大“首届枫叶奖国际书画展览会”获优秀奖。1997年作品在《美术观察》、《江苏画报》、《美苑》、《今日四川》等刊物发表，作品入编《中国工笔画1900-1997》、《全国高等院校教师工笔画新作评析》。2002年作品《黄》、《红》入选“四川美术学院第二届教师作品双年展”、《瓶花系列》四件作品入选重庆市邮政局出版的2003年名信片，2004作品入编《中国油画二十家》专辑画册。作品被英国大英博物馆、黄宾虹艺术馆、文化部中外文化交流中心等机构和海内外私人收藏家广泛收藏。
刘明孝将中国传统绘画观念溶入其油画创作之中,常以中式椅子、清花磁瓶以及各种花卉为表现题材。作品极具个性风格。曾参加“第八届、第九届全国美展”、“中国小幅油画大展”等并获“第八届全国美展---省优秀作品奖”、“黄宾虹金信奖”、“中国小幅油画大展艺术奖”等奖项。在重庆、北京等地三次举办“刘明孝个人画展”和多次参加各类联展,作品发表于《美术观察》、《美苑》、《江苏画刊》、《当代美术家》、《人民画报》、《光明日报》等报刊杂志。出版有《花非花刘明孝作品》、《中国当代绘画十家刘明孝》个人画册。作品被英国“大英博物馆”、“黄宾虹艺术馆”、“台湾晴山艺术中心”、“文化部中外文化交流中心”等机构收藏。

Liu Mingxiao(1964—)
Born in Sichuan. Graduated from the Chinese Painting department of the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 1987, obtained MA degree. He is the deputy professor and the director of the Chinese painting department in the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. His work had been edit in the 《20 Chinese oil painting artists》in 2004. his works “Red”、“Yellow” had been collected for “the Second Sichuan Fine Arts Institute- Tutor’s Exhibition” in 2002. His works has been published in lots of art magazines in 1997. 1992, he won the excellent prize of “Maple-leaf international art exhibition” in Canada.(Lot 181)。
His works once joined in the Eighth and the ninth National Fine Art Works Exhibition。Winning Merit Award at Eighth National Fine Art Works Exhibition，obtained the Huangbinhong- Jin Xin prize ，wining Art Award at Grand Exhibition of Chinese Mini Oil Painting Works and so on。Held Personal Exhibition of Painting in Chongqing，Chengdu and Beijin，so attended joint exhibition。 His works were published in Art Observation、Jiangsu Art、People pictorial 、contemporary artist、daily Guangming Ribao。 Published Works：“lower? Not Flower? Painting Works by Liu Mingxiao”， “Ten Artists in Contemporary Chinese Painting – Liu Mingxiao”。
