展览介绍

将《身在其中？》作为标题并以设问的形式提出，主要是基于对当下艺术样式与自身体系关系的拷问而生成。中国当代艺术已经过三十余年的发展，但实际上仍未形成独立体系，并且对西方已形成的标准和认可仍有谄媚冲动。如今当代艺术繁杂多样，又加之事件本身离我们太近，其中所指涉的文本、现象都在进行发展中，所以任何的阶段解读都会是片面的。片面是相对于整个体系的建立而言，这不得不让我们自问：我们是否身在其中？

一个体系的建立必然是一个线性的过程，但线性并不是一味模仿与盲目继承，所以在当代语境下重新审视与追问“源头”是必要的功课。本次展览对“意境”这个概念在当下的提及提供了一个参考，参展的三位艺术家赵露、吴笛笛、崔宇也分别从不同的维度对“源头”与当下的关系呈现了可考依据，但这仍是一个侧面、一个切片，更广阔的构建依赖于更多的个体实践。

Building a system is a linear process, but it is not meaning imitate and inherited blindly. Re-examining and asking for source is necessary work in contemporary context. This exhibition provided a reference for artistic conception in today, artists Zhao Lu，Wu Didi, Cui Yu provided the basis of the relationship between “source” and the current from different dimensions, but it is still just a side, a slice, more individual practice make broader structure.
