一 Materialism by Raymond Choi
蔡继明之唯物論篇
Honestly, I have nothing much to do with materialism or idealism. Recently I frequented an old book store and bought an old book on materialism and experience criticism. After reading the lot, I was even more puzzle than before. Yet, I found some of its contents rather stimulating. I started experimenting by converting its “Thinking” and “Terminology” into graphic presentations. I ended up with the current series of work.
It’s fun.
From that experience I found that whenever something excite my mind, I must grasp that moment without hesitation and get onto it. Had I left it out for just a little bit longer, I don’t think I could have them done.
老实说，我对唯物主义或唯心主义都了解不多。最近，我在经常光顾的旧书店买了一本唯物主义和经验批判的旧书，看完之后我觉得比以前更糊涂。然而，我发现它有些内容很过瘾，我开始尝试将它们转换成图象。最终 ，我完成了当前一系列的作品。
爽。
我发现当我的脑袋受到激发时，我必须毫不迟疑地把握那一刻，实时行动。否则，它就会在不知觉间溜走，今天我也不会有这一批作品。
二 Landscape Painting of Raymond Choi
蔡继明之山水篇
Chinese ink painting always fascinates me because it offers me infinite possibilities. While I am still learning and deploying the traditional Chinese ink painting technique, I am working towards abandoning entirely the traditional vision of landscaping and steer myself into truly abstract landscaping, one that generates within. I know I am still miles from such a target yet I think I am on my way. It is a matter of time and perseverance.
It is my intention to devote all my art work to a children support program. At the moment, I am sponsoring 16 lovely children from all over the world. I intend to extend that program over time. So, all money received from the sales of my work here will be used solely for that purpose.
Already several friends and organizations in Shenzhen have indicated their strong support. My landscape and other paintings will be exhibited in several locations in Shenzhen in the next two months. Should anyone of my friends interested to share my vision, please kindly let me know.
由于中国水墨变化无穷，所以一直以来我给它吸引着。一方面我在努力学习传统技法,另一方面却在追求解除传统山水的意识形态，寻找自我的”心相” 。现时距离这个目标还有一段漫长的道路, 不过我一定会坚持走下去。
我计划将这批作品及日后更多作品全部所得去资助贫苦儿童。今天我已通过一个计划资助来自世界各地的十六名儿童。我希望日后可以继续延伸下去。
现在已有多位热心朋友在支持我这个想法。在未来两个月中我将会在深圳多个地方展出並义卖我的作品。希望也得到你的支持。
